SmartHOTEL, a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of Smart Channel Manager with Oracle Hospitality OPERA 5.5. The integration empowers Oracle Hospitality OPERA property management system (PMS) users with a direct connection between the Oracle Hospitality OPERA PMS and sales channels like Online Travel Agencies (OTA), Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Internet Booking Engines (IBE). It isolates the distribution flow, making revenue management more efficient while empowering hotels and chains to take full control over their configuration and more quickly anticipate a changing market by using dynamic pricing.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. The validated integration between Oracle Hospitality OPERA system and Smart Channel Manager is enabled by OPERA Exchange Interface (OXI). It contains direct data exchange of room availability, rates, and inventory data upload towards the distribution channels and reservation download into Oracle Hospitality OPERA PMS. It can be extended to handle more types of guest data and is fully configurable by the property.
